So Forgotten, So Unloved

Again, the theme of decay and built-space prevails here. The idea of "forgetting" in this piece is one that speaks to all of us. How many times have we walked by an abandoned, empty building and wondered 'what is its history?', what laughs, loves, pains, and disappointments were experienced there. I think this is also where the idea of remnants comes in. The building is a visible representation of a past that is forgotten.

That the building is both forgotten and unlove rings true, for there are many old buildings that are neither forgotten or unloved. Heritage properties, for instance, that are deemed important enough to love and remember.
